About this property

Welcome to Posada De Las Flores Loreto

Posada De Las Flores Loreto is a Spanish Colonial-style hotel located in the heart of downtown Loreto, overlooking Plaza Civica. Its historic charm is reflected in the architecture and the central open courtyard, which fills the property with natural light. Guests can enjoy a unique rooftop pool with a glass bottom accessible via a spiral staircase, providing a memorable setting for relaxation and sunset views.

The hotel offers a range of practical amenities including free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, air conditioning, and free parking. It is family-friendly and smoke-free but does not permit pets. While there is no onsite restaurant or fitness center, guests can benefit from airport shuttle service and laundry facilities. Rooms tend to be compact and open onto the interior courtyard rather than the street, creating a quieter environment away from external noise sources.

Situated just a 10-minute drive from Loreto International Airport, the location supports easy access to local attractions such as the Malecón de Loreto, Jesuit Missions of Loreto Museum, and Isla Coronados. The immediate neighborhood offers a selection of nearby hotels, dining spots, and shops within walking distance. Due to its proximity to bars and a local church whose bells ring frequently, some guests have noted noise disturbances during nighttime hours.

Reviews often highlight attentive and professional service, the welcoming atmosphere, and the hotel's historic character. However, some find the rooms a bit dark and the beds firm. This property suits travelers who appreciate a traditional Mexican hacienda ambiance, value a central location, and seek a quiet, clean lodging option with distinct local flavor rather than modern minimalist design.

We stopped here for sunset drinks, their rooftop is to die for! You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but there is a public bar upstairs. The service is amazing! We were drawn in mesmerized really by the gorgeous courtyard at the ground level. You look up and you see the bottom of the rooftop pool. You can extend the spiral staircase and sit and have a drink overlooking all of Loretto. Just magical.

Posada de las Flores Loreto had/has some of the best, most exemplary customer service and hospitality I have experienced in a long time. To me, this aspect of the stay, which was otherwise great and 100% wonderful, really stood out as a model for other businesses and, for this reason, I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Loreto. The rooms are not large, the building is on the corner of a pedestrian street where there are a lot of restaurants and vendors and foot traffic. The hotel itself seems to be in updated but old-style hacienda building with an open, light-filled central courtyard and and rooms around it. Each room has a window to the light-filled interior of the building but not to the exterior, so they can seem a little dark, but they aren't. It's super quaint and nice and smells old in a good way. What this hotel is NOT is modern and minimalistic in a concrete/steel/millennial-grey way. It would have seemed a little too kitschy or 'Mexican-in-the-sense-of-Coco' had it not been so warm-hearted and the staff been so incredibly professional and welcoming. This is a very clean and very comfortable (and quiet) place to stay that is centrally located. Note that there is no elevator here and you must go up stairs to get to your room and the unique roof-top pool as well as the shady, breezy roof-top bar and patio. Free continental breakfast is a plus as well - the food was really good and expertly prepared.

We stopped in here to determine viability for an extended stay next year. The atmosphere is exquisite. The location is excellent. The top level pool is really nice. In the lobby, look UP at the ceiling grid. What you are looking at is the bottom of the POOL. The rooms are classic old Mexico. I don't know that I could sleep on one of those mattresses though. The spiral staircase is also a nice touch.

Adorable small hotel with the best service. Kindness is undeniable. Every employee did their best to accommodate. The house manager , housekeeping and the restaurant all went above and beyond to answer every request. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start our day. Charming historical hotel in the best location a short walk to the water. We enjoyed the plaza and shops and restaurants close by. Get a suite. Sit by the pool on the roof top.

A very unique place to stay to be sure. I've only stayed in one other like it in all my travels. Simply put, it's gorgeous! Bit hard to fully describe, but it's like an old hacienda that's been repurposed a few times and now it's a boutique hotel. Furnished impressibility with old wood, antiques, local artwork, and with an open atrium with a fountain that little birds come and bathe in. The rooms are like bedrooms in an old Mexican casa with a charmingly styled bathroom. And the staff were pleasant and easy going, patient with my lack of Spanish. Stay here, you'll be as charmed as myself!

We stayed one night (April 26) and found the hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. The location was very central and safe so we walked everywhere. The mission bells are something else- quiet at night but early morning bells?? We enjoyed our room with excellent air conditioning. Tried like heck to get the mini refrigerator working but it was broken. All in all - for the price, location and breakfast food, we really enjoyed our stay! Hope to return for longer next year when off the boat.

Jan 2025: enjoyed everything about this charming hotel right in the heart of charming Loreto. Very friendly and helpful staff, including Ussiel (day mgr), Alexia and the young guy whose name I don't recall, but I do remember he rescued many abandoned dogs. Although remodeled several times, they've done a remarkable job of maintaining the character (2+ inch doors throughout; historic hardware throughout, etc.). Bed and room were comfy. Simple breakfast was fine (coffee, toast or fruit). Rooftop bar was nice as well. Both run by a separate business. On weekend evenings it's a bit loud due to nearby bars (e.g., Mike's Bar, which btw, is a hoot for people watching). Rather than complain about the music, why not go there and have a great time. The location was perfect, w/ many cafes & stores within a few hundred feet of the hotel. All in all, an authentic historic boutique hotel in the center of a town with one stoplight!

Prepare for very little sleep. Beautiful old hotel but the nearby bars are very loud and the church bells ring every 15 minutes seemingly all through the night. We were able to purchase earplugs from a pharmacy on the second day but I think this is something that the hotel should provide so you don't miss out completely on sleep on the first night of your vacation. The mattresses were also hard and the bottom sheet kept coming off so I would wake frequently (from the bells/bars) to find myself laying on an old, uncovered mattress. They need to switch to fitted sheets. The fridge had been removed from our room which was inconvenient and the drinking water was never replenished by housekeeping. Overall, the staff were very pleasant and the location was excellent but you definitely feel like you are roughing it. I would come back to the restaurant but I wouldn't want to sleep there again.
